We are a building contractor & Developer, producing large and small extensions, new builds and refurbishment projects to Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Essex and the surrounding counties.
Our Company Directors, employees and sub-contractors all have a wealth of experience between them and the Murfet Group will, as it always does with every contract, ensure that our whole team, from the Managing Director to the directly employed labourers, take great pride in their work and are determined to see that your contract is delivered to the highest standard. We fully understand that your needs may often change, the company aims to respond quickly to ensure these needs are met. The decision making structure within the company allows it to react and adapt its work plans quickly.
The company’s policies are to encourage, not prevent changes or amendments, working with you to produce the end product you require on time and within budget.
A long established and robust Health Safety and Welfare Management system is in place and is integrated into all areas of our business. This is under continual review by the Group Health Safety and Welfare steering committee which comprises of senior management members, including our External Health and Safety Advisor Mr Bob Maxwell of Bob Maxwell Consulting whom assists, supports and guides all levels of management, they also carry out regular training, inspections and audits. The Group is currently accredited with the Construction Health & Safety Scheme (CHAS) and in line with OHSAS 1800.
All subcontractors are required to complete our detailed PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) to ensure that the businesses we engage with have necessary levels of insurance, are compliant & accredited to relevant standards and take these responsibilities seriously. A copy of our proposed subcontractors PPQ forms can easily be requested.
We are firmly committed to becoming a green organisation to deliver sustainable construction.To demonstrate this commitment we have long established an environmental management system in line with ISO14001 which is an internationally recognised environmental management standard, based around the fundamental tenets of the company being a strong Cambridgeshire based business with significant use and development of its local resources and the inherent community involvement.
